Website privacy notice
What burystack.com collects, why and how long we keep it. Each app has its own privacy policy, such as Ribbon's.

The short version
- This website sets no cookies.
- Apart from counting visits and checking for spam, we only collect what you send us: a message through the contact form, or your email address if you ask to hear when an app launches.
- We don't sell your information, and only the providers named below handle it.
What we collect
Contact form messages
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message. The form sends them straight to our inbox. The website itself doesn't store them.
Launch sign-ups
When you ask to be told when an app launches, we store your email address and which app it's for. We use it to send you one email when that app is available, and nothing else.
Visits
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. When a page loads, a small script from Cloudflare sends it the page's address, the page that linked you to it, your browser and operating system versions, and how quickly the page loaded and responded. Cloudflare works out which country you're in from your internet address, doesn't keep the address, and gives us only totals, such as how many times each page was viewed, which sites sent visitors and which countries they came from. It doesn't use cookies or store anything on your device, and it doesn't follow you from site to site. We rely on our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used.
Spam protection
Both forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person is sending them, not an automated program. Turnstile loads when one of the forms is on or near your screen, or when you start filling one in, and runs in your browser. On the contact page, that's as soon as the page opens. It uses technical information such as your internet address and the type of browser and device you're using, and it may keep a small item in your browser's storage that it needs to work. The forms also limit how often they can be sent from one internet address, to stop abuse. We don't keep a record of those addresses. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of spam and abuse.
Why we keep it, and for how long
- Messages: so we can reply to you. We keep them for 12 months, then delete them. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us.
- Sign-ups: so we can tell you when the app launches. We keep your address until 30 days after launch, then delete it. We rely on your consent.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare runs the services this website uses: hosting, sending contact form messages to our inbox, the spam check and the visit counts. Contact form messages arrive in our email inbox, which Microsoft hosts for us, and the launch email is sent from it. Both act only on our instructions, with one exception: for the spam check, Cloudflare also decides how it uses the information Turnstile collects, as its Turnstile privacy policy explains. Nobody else receives your information, and we never sell it.
These providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, it's protected by the safeguards UK law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, object to how we use it, or ask for your sign-up details in a form you can take elsewhere. If you signed up for a launch email, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@burystack.com and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website doesn't set any cookies, so there's no cookie banner to accept. The spam check on the forms may keep a small item in your browser's storage that it needs to work.
